Director, Technical Project Manager, Customer Solutions

Opportunity Overview

As a Director, Technical Project Manager, Customer Solutions, you will support all aspects of developing and maintaining major technical data center programs that target both wholesale and hyperscale builds, including managing third-party organizations engaged.  This role supports the sales and leasing and development parts of the organization across four key dimensions: Customer Solutions, Technical Project Management, Development, and Vendor Management of MEP and architectural firms, as well as collaborating with stakeholders across the company. 


Customer Solutions

  • Project manage leasing RFI/RFP responses across all disciplines within the company and across key external vendors.
  • Deep dive on targeted tenant specifications; ensure design and development of products that meet the rapidly evolving and ever-changing definitions and demands of large enterprise and hyperscale customers.
  • Test fits on prospective sites across North America to align with EdgeCore product standards and customer specific requirements.  
  • As required, conduct technical reviews of construction drawings at various project stages to ensure proposed design meets tenant specifications.
  • Work closely with the procurement team on equipment specifications, proposal reviews, and procurement of owner furnished equipment.  
  • Work alongside internal teams and external consultants to Incorporate renewable energy and industry leading sustainability practices into design.

Technical Project Management

  • Drive projects from inception through key tenant delivery milestones and tenant occupancy.  
  • Collaborate with EdgeCore sales, operations, construction, finance, energy, and land sourcing teams to assist with the acquisition and master development of sites and individual data center design solutions.
  • Liaise between architects and engineers, vendors, and suppliers to organize project design. 
  • Assist with updates on development program and project status on a monthly basis suitable for executive level reviews
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to conduct strategic design, 

Vendor Management

  • Partner with EdgeCore construction team to manage third-party design and build teams towards on-time completion of design, permits, commissioning, and delivery of builds in support of key customer delivery dates.
  • Project manage overall workload and prioritization of tasks for architects and engineers.  


  • A bachelor's degree in Science, Construction Management, Engineering, Real Estate, or a similar field with excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong background in program and/or project management for programs and/or projects involving multiple stakeholders and varied technical requirements/criteria.  
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans with an understanding of architectural design within a data center environment.
  • Ability to solve problems at a tactical and functional level, and detail-oriented.
  • 5 – 10 years total experience in real estate, construction or related technology field.
  • Travel (10-15+%) that may be on short notice.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel; PowerPoint, Word). 
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Digital Twin software a plus.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to present information in a compelling format, as well as verbal interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Experience in commercial real estate sales or leasing transactions and/or transactions support for multi-variable, multi-stakeholder deals.  
  • Must show tact, discretion, confidentiality and good judgement in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation; candidate must be able to think strategically and work with data.
  • A team player mentality and strong learning acumen.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency, and to turn in quality work quickly, under strict time constraints.
  • Flexibility and the desire to go above and beyond what is required of you.

Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $130,000 to $150,000 with a performance related bonus.

Variable Pay: Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance. You may also be eligible for the Company’s long term incentive program.
