Senior Financial Analyst

EdgeCore is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This position will report directly to the SVP of Finance and perform financial and strategic analysis across a broad range of projects and topics.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, build, and manage financial models using Excel for existing assets and prospective investments, including investment returns underwriting (IRR’s, equity multiple, etc.).
  2. Update, manage, and report on database of key competitive metrics across all segments of the data center industry including supply and demand dynamics as well as relevant industry transactions.
  3. Support team members in underwriting, due diligence, and execution of various capital transactions, including acquisitions, partnerships, financings, and development programs.
  4. Lead the coordination and preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  5. Lead the creation of monthly and quarterly reporting package for the Board of Directors and investors consisting of financial statements, strategic narrative, and ad-hoc forecasts for all regions.
  6. Generate variance reports comparing actual performance with budgeted and forecasted performance and identify drivers of the variances.
  7. Interface with internal and external parties, such as leasing/sales brokers, the Board of Directors, operating partners, lenders/ investors, accounting teams, legal counsel, and other individuals as required.

Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or a similar field.
  2. 4-5 years of experience in a financial or real estate development analyst role or similar professional experience. Experience in the real estate development, private equity, investment banking, or related industry will also be an advantage.
  3. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); exceptionally strong Excel skills are required.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex, data-driven information in a compelling and concise format.
  5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure setting.
  6. Ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation.
  7. Strategic thinker, especially as it relates to financial modeling.
  8. A strong understanding of finance and accounting with an ability to create both simple and complex financial models, reports, and analysis.
  9. A team player mentality and strong learning acumen.
  10. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency, and to turn in quality work quickly under strict time constraints.
  11. Flexibility and the desire to go above and beyond what is required of you.
  12. The ability to learn and understand software quickly.

Compensation and Benefits

  1. This is a salaried position with annual base compensation in the range of $90,000 to $110,000 and a performance-based bonus as part of the total compensation package.
