Opportunity Overview 

EdgeCore is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This position will report directly to the  Director of Finance and perform financial and strategic analysis across a broad range of projects and  topics. 

Responsibilities 

  • Design, build, and maintain financial models using Excel for existing assets and prospective investments, including cash flow projections and investment returns underwriting (IRR’s, equity multiple, etc.). 
  • Establish and sustain a deep understanding of market dynamics across all segments of the data center industry. 
  • Conduct extensive primary and secondary market research related to the data center industry,  including market dynamics and relevant industry transactions, and update EdgeCore’s proprietary market intelligence database accordingly. 
  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts including projected revenue, operating expenses, and capital investments as well as associated capital structure. 
  • Support creation of monthly and quarterly reporting package for internal and external stakeholders,  including the Board of Directors, consisting of financial reporting, strategic narratives, operational metrics, development updates, and ad hoc analysis. 
  • Generate variance reports comparing actual performance with budgeted and forecasted performance,  working closely with department leads and project managers to identify drivers of the variances and updating the corporate financial model accordingly. 
  • Support other members of the Finance and Development teams on the analysis, documentation, and execution of various capital transactions, including acquisitions, partnerships, financings, and development programs. 
  • Support due diligence efforts on prospective investments and participate in preparing investment memorandums and related materials.

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or a similar field. 
  • 0+ years of experience in a financial or real estate development analyst role or similar professional  experience. Experience in private equity, investment banking, or related industry will also be an  advantage. 
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); exceptionally strong Excel skills  are required. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information in a  compelling and concise format. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously  in a high-pressure setting. 
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement in handling sensitive and  confidential matters and documentation. 
  • Strategic thinker, especially as it relates to financial modeling. 
  • A strong understanding of finance and accounting with an ability to create both simple and complex  financial models, reports and analysis on both a cash and GAAP basis. 
  • A team player with a strong and natural affinity for learning. 
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and to turn in quality  work quickly under strict time constraints. 
  • Flexibility and the desire to go above and beyond what is required of you.

This is a salaried position with competitive annual base compensation plus a performance-based  bonus and potential equity compensation.
