Financial Analyst

EdgeCore is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This position will report directly to theVP of Finance and perform financial and strategic analysis across a broad range of projects and topics.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, build, and maintain financial models using Excel for existing assets and prospective investments, including investment returns underwriting (IRR’s, equity multiple, etc).
  2. Create and maintain asset-level and portfolio-level cash flow projection models and pro-formas for development, re-development and operating assets.
  3. Provide analytics and investment analysis to support the senior leadership team with capital allocation and capital expenditure decision making.
  4. Assist in the coordination and preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  5. Support creation of monthly and quarterly reporting package for the Board of Directors and Investors consisting of financial statements, strategic narrative and ad-hoc forecasts for all regions.
  6. Generate variance reports comparing actual performance with budgeted and forecasted performance and identify drivers of the variances.
  7. Perform sensitivity analyses and review various leverage and joint venture structures in Excel.
  8. Work with team members in the analysis, documentation and execution of various capital transactions, including acquisitions, partnerships, financings, and development programs.
  9. Interface with internal and external parties, such as leasing/sales brokers, the Board of Directors, operating partners, lenders/ investors, accounting teams, legal counsel, and other individuals as required.

Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, Real Estate, or a similar field.
  2. 1-3 years of experience in a financial or real estate development analyst role or similar professional experience. Experience in the real estate development, private equity, investment banking, or related industry will also be an advantage.
  3. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); exceptionally strong Excel skills are required.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information in a compelling and concise format.
  5. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure setting.
  6. Ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation.
  7. Strategic thinker, especially as it relates to working with financial modeling.
  8. A strong understanding of finance and accounting with an ability to create both simple and complex financial models, reports and analysis.
  9. A team player mentality and strong learning acumen.
  10. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and to turn in quality work quickly and under strict time constraints.
  11. Flexibility and the desire to go above and beyond what is required.
  12. The ability to learn and understand software quickly.

Compensation and Benefits

  1. This is a salaried position with annual base compensation in the range of $55,000 to $75,000 and a performance-based bonus as part of the total compensation package.
