Opportunity Overview 

EdgeCore is seeking a Director of Finance to join its Finance team. This position will report directly to the  SVP of Finance and play a critical role in leading the financial planning and capital markets functions of  the Company. 

Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and manage all aspects related to the financial underwriting functions of the company  including forecasting, reporting, and analysis. 
  • Lead underwriting efforts across EdgeCore’s portfolio of data center assets, acting as the lead and  central source of information for financial components of EdgeCore’s business plan. 
  • Perform complex financial analysis and valuations, ensuring that key financial underwriting and  investment structuring concepts are fully addressed. 
  • Lead the coordination and preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts including updates  to and presentation of projected revenue, operating expenses, and capital investments as well as  associated capital structure. 
  • Lead creation and recurring production of the quarterly reporting package for the Board of Directors  and investors consisting of financial reporting, strategic narratives, operational metrics, development  updates, and ad hoc analysis. 
  • Lead creation and recurring production of the monthly reporting package for executive leadership  consisting of financial analysis and strategic updates. 
  • Direct the analyst team in analyzing periodic variances comparing actual performance with budgeted  and forecasted performance across all financial aspects of the business (revenue, expense, capex,  capital structure), identifying drivers of the variances as well as necessary updates to corporate  underwriting. 
  • Support activities related to the financial assessment of leasing initiatives, including prospective lease  pricing. 
  • As needed, prepare memorandums for investors related to leasing and capital investment across  existing asset portfolio. 
  • Manage underwriting and execution of debt and equity fundraising. 
  • Support acquisitions and development team in underwriting prospective investments.
  • Interface with internal and external parties such as leasing/sales brokers, the Board of Directors,  lenders/ investors, sales and development teams, accountants, advisors, lawyers, and other  individuals as required.

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or a similar field.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance or similar professional experience. Experience in real estate  development, private equity, investment banking, or a related industry will also be an advantage. 
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); exceptionally strong Excel skills  are required. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex, data driven information in a compelling and concise format. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously  in a high-pressure setting. 
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement in handling sensitive and  confidential matters and documentation. 
  • Strategic thinker and ability to think like an owner in all decision-making 
  • A strong understanding of finance and accounting with an ability to create both simple and complex  financial models, reports on both a cash and GAAP basis 
  • A team player with a strong and natural affinity for learning. 
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and to turn in quality  work quickly under strict time constraints. 
  • Flexibility and the desire to go above and beyond what is required of you.

  • This is a salaried position with competitive annual base compensation plus a performance-based  bonus and equity compensation.
