Corporate Counsel

EdgeCore is seeking a junior in-house attorney to join its legal team.  This position will provide legal advice and assistance with respect to a broad range of topics, including leasing and other commercial contracts, risk management, and a wide assortment of other in-house corporate legal matters.

EdgeCore is a dynamic, fast-growing company.  We are looking for a self-starter who is excited by the opportunity to have autonomy, responsibility and a varied mix of work.  This position will work directly and closely with the General Counsel and EdgeCore’s business team.

Responsibilities

Providing legal advice and support in connection with:

  • Leasing, commercial contracts and vendor contract management
  • Legal entity management and organization
  • Compliance and company policies
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Outside law firm management

Requirements

  • Law Degree from an accredited law school and Bar Admission required
  • 2-3 years of corporate/transactional experience at either a law firm or in house required.  Commercial leasing and/or technology contracting experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to communicate with other personnel and external parties through strong, organized writing and verbal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills, including management of projects and workload through goal setting and prioritization
  • Team player able to work cooperatively with business people and outside counsel to find practical and creative solutions
  • Prior experience successfully operating in a fluid and entrepreneurial environment
