Finance Associate

Opportunity Overview 

EdgeCore seeks an Associate to join its Finance team. This position will report directly to the SVP of  Finance and play a key role in guiding the strategic direction of the Company. The Associate will perform  strategic research and market analysis related to a broad range of projects and topics primarily focused  on the data center, real estate, and technology industries within the US and across global markets.

Responsibilities 

  • Establish and sustain a deep understanding of market dynamics across all segments of the data  center industry. 
  • Conduct extensive primary and secondary market research and maintain a detailed structured  database tracking market dynamics in existing and prospective geographic markets. 
  • Build and manage a dynamic model projecting supply and demand dynamics in existing and  prospective geographic markets. 
  • Track, study, and report on relevant industry transactions, including but not limited to asset trades,  mergers and acquisitions, land sales, equity raises, and debt financings. 
  • Maintain current intelligence related to data center providers and end-users using publicly available  information and proprietary company intelligence  
  • Synthesize and translate data into useful and digestible information for internal and external users. 
  • Develop and communicate market investment thesis in support of prospective investments, playing a  key role in preparing investment memorandums and related materials. 
  • Produce quarterly reporting to internal and external stakeholders communicating high-level market  dynamics, significant developments, and key trends. 
  • Distribute weekly company bulletins summarizing relevant current events and key developments  
  • Interface with internal and external parties such as leasing/sales brokers, the Board of Directors,  lenders/ investors, sales and development teams, and other individuals as required.

Qualifications 

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, Real Estate, or a similar field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial, business intelligence, or real estate development analyst role or  similar professional experience. Experience in private equity, investment banking, or related industry  will also be an advantage. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information in a  compelling and concise format. 
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); exceptionally strong Excel skills  are required. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously  in a high-pressure setting. 
  • Ability to demonstrate tact, discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement in handling sensitive and  confidential matters and documentation. 
  • Strategic thinker, especially as it relates to working with data. 
  • A strong understanding of optimal data architectures and ability to create models, reports and  analysis. 
  • A team player with a strong and natural affinity for learning. 
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and to turn in quality  work quickly and under strict time constraints. 
  • Flexibility and the desire to go above and beyond what is required. 
  • The ability to learn and understand software quickly. 
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 by a CDC-approved vaccine subject to qualifying medical or religious exceptions.

This is a salaried position with competitive annual base compensation plus a performance-based  bonus and equity compensation.
