EdgeCore’s veteran executive team has 55+ years of data center development and management experience, plus a development resume exceeding $10.0 billion.
Tom is a co-founder of the Company and is based in our Denver office. Tom brings to EdgeCore experience in institutional real estate exceeding $10 billion in value, including over $5.0 billion in the data center industry.
Before co-founding EdgeCore, Tom served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of CoreSite Realty Corporation (NYSE: COR). Tom was a founder of CoreSite and led the company's strategy and growth from its inception in 2001, through its IPO in 2010, and until his retirement from the company in 2016. Under his leadership, as a public company CoreSite delivered the highest total shareholder return among all US public REITs, increasing the Company’s equity market capitalization from $730 million at its IPO in 2010 to over $4 billion when Tom announced his retirement in July, 2016. During that period, CoreSite earned shareholders a 580% total return, correlating to a 30.5% compounded annual return.
Prior to and contemporaneously with his tenure at CoreSite until its 2010 IPO, Tom was a member of the US Realty Team at The Carlyle Group, where he was a Managing Director responsible for sourcing and managing investments in North America. In that role, Tom executed on investments across data center, industrial, CBD office, hotel, for-sale residential condominium, multi-family, and mixed-use property types. Prior to Carlyle, Tom held roles of increasing responsibility with Security Capital Group and its affiliates (Prologis, CarrAmerica, and predecessors to Archstone-Smith), where he held roles of increasing responsibility in the US and Europe across acquisitions, development and leasing and across industrial, multi-family, office, and executive-suites property types and businesses. Also during his tenure with Security Capital affiliates, Tom was a founding member of Prologis' European operations, helping lead and scale the organization from start up to ~ $1.0 billion in assets in less than 24 months. Prior to Security Capital, Tom was an attorney practicing real estate, tax and commercial law.
Tom holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Denver where he was a Hornbeck Scholar, a JD from The University of Colorado School of Law, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a Longhorn Scholar.
Jeff is a co-founder of the Company and is based in our Denver office. He is responsible for EdgeCore’s financial reporting, strategic planning, capital markets, administration, information technology and risk management.
Jeff brings to EdgeCore a deep background in finance, reporting, and operational systems and process. Before co-founding EdgeCore, Jeff worked in roles of increasing responsibility at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President and Group Head of both a) Financial Planning and Analysis and b) Corporate Operations, with oversite of IT, software development, business intelligence, and continuous improvement. At CoreSite, Jeff led the financial planning function supporting the company’s 2010 initial public offering on the NYSE with a $730 million equity market capitalization, $144 million in annualized revenue, and 600+ customers. Following CoreSite’s IPO, Jeff led the company’s activities in scaling internal corporate systems, staff and process to support growth to a $4.4 billion equity market capitalization, $460 million in revenue, and 1,100+ customers. During his tenure, Jeff also led the company’s selection and successful implementation of a new end-to-end ERP system supporting customer-facing and internal operations. Jeff was a member of CoreSite’s Senior Leadership Team and Investment Committee. Prior to CoreSite, Jeff held roles of increasing responsibility in the Investment Banking Group at Wachovia / Wells Fargo Financial Institutions Group.
Jeff holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University where he graduated magna cum laude.
Therese is based in the Company’s Denver office and leads EdgeCore’s day-to-day data center operations and customer-lifecycle activities, from lease execution and move in through expiration and move out, including space build out, on-going support, and incident management.
Therese brings significant experience in designing strategy and leading execution and operation of end-to-end service-delivery and customer-support teams, systems, and processes. Therese joined EdgeCore following roles of progressive accountability at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President supporting and leading the company’s activities around customer-lifecycle management for more than 1,200 customers and $500M+ in annualized revenue. Her responsibilities included a) on-boarding and
capacity deployment, b) on-going support via self-service systems (portal management) and a team of Strategic Account Service Representatives, c) capacity and contract management, d) service-processes design and improvement, and e) incident engagement, remediation, and avoidance. Prior to CoreSite, Therese was a Dean’s Research Fellow at the University of Colorado Law School, where she authored and collaborated in authoring works related to cybersecurity, telecommunications, and technology.
Therese holds a B.A. in International Business from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.
Matt is a co-founder of the Company and is based in our Denver office. He leads acquisition and development activities including sourcing, entitlements, design, and construction for the Company’s programmatic and build-to-suit developments.
Matt brings to EdgeCore broad experience in data center development, having led projects beginning at site selection and underwritten to aggregate more than 800 MW and $5.0 billion in investment at stabilization. Prior to co-founding EdgeCore, Matt held roles of increasing responsibility at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President of Acquisitions. In that role, Matt led the acquisition of data center land and buildings as well as colocation operating companies, with a predominant focus upon land and development, including entitlements, feasibility, design, and construction planning, including the coordination of construction and business requirements for build-to-suit activities. In addition to his role in development and acquisitions, Matt served as General Manager of CoreSite’s Central Region, and prior thereto, ran the company’s investment underwriting and diligence activities.
Matt holds a B.S. in Finance from Iowa State University where he graduated with honors.
Ryan is a co-founder of the Company and is based in our Denver office. He leads the Company’s leasing, marketing, and product functions.
Ryan brings extensive experience in accelerating revenue in the data center industry. Prior to co-founding EdgeCore, Ryan held roles of increasing accountability at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President and Group Head of the General Management function. In this role, Ryan’s team focused upon aligning and leading company functions related to its go-to-market capabilities and larger leasing opportunities from initial proposal through move-in and commissioning. During Ryan’s leadership of the General Management team, CoreSite executed over 1,400 new and expansion leases correlating to over $120 million in annualized rent and ranging from single cabinets to 5MW+ turnkey leases to multiple 100,000+ square-foot build-to-suits, including with leading global cloud providers and internet companies. Finally, under Ryan’s leadership the GM team supported the Product and Sales teams in driving new deployments of network- and cloud-service providers, including the deployment of on-ramp switches from nearly all leading global cloud providers. Ryan was a member of CoreSite’s Senior Leadership Team and Investment Committee. Prior to CoreSite, Ryan worked in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group at Wachovia Securities / Wells Fargo.
Ryan holds a B.S. in Finance and International Business from New York University Stern School of Business.
Christine is based in EdgeCore’s Denver office and is responsible for legal oversight of all company operations, including acquisitions, development, leasing and financing, as well as contract management, risk management, compliance and corporate governance.
Christine brings significant legal and strategic experience to EdgeCore, leveraging over fourteen years in private practice and as in-house counsel at a publicly traded REIT. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Christine served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel for DCT Industrial Trust Inc., recently acquired by Prologis, Inc. for $8.4billion. At DCT, Christine was responsible for legal matters surrounding: a) the acquisition, disposition, and financing of operating assets and land, including land acquisitions and construction related to over $1.2 billion in development starts; b) asset management, property management, and vendor management across more than 400properties and 840 tenants; c) management of all company litigation; and d) risk management. Before her role at DCT, Christine worked as an attorney at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., focusing in complex commercial litigation, including real estate and construction-related matters.
Christine holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.
Brian is based in the Company’s Denver office and is responsible for all areas of accounting including the Company’s financial statements, cost accounting, customer billing and accounts receivable, accounts payable, and tax compliance.
Brian brings notable experience in accounting and finance relevant to the data center industry and technology space. Prior to EdgeCore, Brian held roles of increasing accountability at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President of Financial Reporting. During his tenure, Brian managed all accounting and SEC aspects of CoreSite’s initial public offering and was responsible for SEC reporting, technical accounting, corporate and property accounting as well as the implementation of accounting IT systems. Prior to CoreSite, Brian worked for Ernst & Young in their audit and assurance services practice serving clients in the real estate and hospitality industry and served as the audit lead for the DuPont Fabros Technology initial public offering.
Brian holds a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University where he graduated with honors and a M.S. in Accounting from Michigan State University.
Jim Albin is based in California, leading the management and development of hyperscale and strategic account relationships. He is an expert in providing solutions to customer capacity demand problems.
Jim brings over 25 years of telecommunications, network and infrastructure experience. Jim’s education and training started with six years of service in the US Army working in the satellite communications field, managing networks for the U.S. government. Following that, Jim held the position of Senior Support Engineer at Ciena before taking on a similar position as a Senior Sales Engineer at Infinera developing test plans, managing installations, running customer test trials and demos, designing national and metro fiber networks, and supporting customer networks.
Prior to joining EdgeCore, Jim held the position of Senior Director of Business Development and Sales at both Dupont Fabros and EdgeConneX, working with cloud and hyperscale customers to help build out their data center footprints.
Julie leads fundraising efforts in equity and debt capital markets, and is responsible for the underwriting of business plans, as well as building financial reporting for senior management and investors.
Julie brings extensive finance and general management experience specific to the data center industry. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Julie managed CoreSite’s Denver and Los Angeles markets as the Vice President of General Management. There, Julie gained experience in investment underwriting, strategic planning, P&L management, lease negotiations, and the development and entitlement processes. She has also held positions in management development and finance, working on M&A due diligence, data center financial modeling, and investor reporting.
Julie holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
Kyle oversees corporate IT systems and the operational data center IT infrastructure, including systems architecture and integrations, information security, data governance programs, and business intelligence.
Kyle brings to EdgeCore a deep background in data center IT infrastructure and IT management. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Kyle held several positions at CoreSite, rising from an entry level position to Director in four years. Most recently, Kyle held the position of Senior Director of Business Intelligence and Solution Architecture. This included managing teams owning the business intelligence program, data architecture, migrations, and warehousing. Additionally, Kyle was responsible for architecting and implementing a complete systems replacement.
Kyle holds a B.S. in Computer Science with an emphasis on Information Systems and Systems Administration from Dordt College where he graduated with honors.
Tom leads direct customer engagement with top technology companies domestically and internationally, along with solutions development to meet said customers’ needs.
Tom brings extensive colocation, data center, and commercial real estate deal structuring as well as hyperscale end user site selection, acquisition, and development experience to the team. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Tom worked for Amazon Web Services, where he directly handled strategy and execution for seven new and existing regions globally. Through handling end-to-end due diligence, negotiation, execution, implementation and handoff in a multi-stakeholder environment, he developed unique insights into the changing nature of the data center industry prompted by hyperscale requirements.
Tom holds an B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard College, with honors.
Wylie leads the strategy and execution for connectivity, interconnection, power, sustainability, and on-site customer products and services.
Wylie brings extensive experience in the telecommunications industry managing products and services, sales, and market strategy. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Wylie worked as VP of Wireless & Testing at CableLabs’ Kyrio subsidiary, leading sales, products and services, strategy, and operations. Wylie also held several positions of increasing responsibility at Zayo Group, including Director of Strategic Markets & Alliances, Small Cell “Entrepreneur” & Product Lead, Metro Dark Fiber Lead, and various management positions as a member of the Rotational Leadership Management Program, giving him comprehensive knowledge of network and fiber products and services.
Wylie holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University where he graduated with honors, an M.B.A from the University of Colorado where he graduated with honors, and a J.D. from the University of Colorado.
As Director of HR, Annette is responsible for benefit management, employee on-boarding, payroll supervision, policy development, and supply acquisition. In her role as Director of Administration, she is responsible for day-to-day operations in the corporate headquarters and coordinates directly with the CEO.
Annette brings to EdgeCore extensive managerial and organizational experience. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Annette acted as Executive Assistant to the CEO, supporting CoreSite’s then CEO, Tom Ray, and additional CoreSite executives for 12 years. Annette had direct correspondence with board members, investors, as well as potential and existing customers, giving her insight on corporate management and the data center industry as a whole.
Chad manages new business development and client acquisition for EdgeCore’s wholesale data center platform. He specializes in helping companies address and solve complex data center requirements by focusing on the customer and end-user experience.
Previous to EdgeCore, Chad worked as Regional Sales Director at Cyxtera Technologies. With nearly 15 years of IT industry experience, Chad has held senior sales and management positions at other leading companies as well including IO and Digital Realty. Through these roles, Chad has worked with a variety of industry verticals such as: cloud, content, technology, telecommunications, financial services, retail, and healthcare.
Chad holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
Daryl leads the management of regional assets through the supervision of on-site staff, vendor services, operating expenditures, customer relationships, and the support of sales.
He brings broad experience in facility support, operations management, and litigation consulting spanning the industries of technology, healthcare, biotechnology, financial services, aerospace, government contracts, and utilities. Previously, Daryl acted as Associate Director for Navigant Consulting and Peterson Consulting, managing large teams through all stages of the litigation process. From there, Daryl moved on to Jablotron Living Technologies where he acted as Owner, leading all North American operations. Most recently, Daryl held the position of Business Processes Manager at CoreSite; supporting facilities, operations, product, client services, and security.
Daryl holds a B.S. in Economics, with a focus on Finance & Multinational Management, from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated Cum Laude.
Feather brings notable experience in the development and execution of audit and compliance specific to the data center industry. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Feather held several positions at Pivot Point Security, including ISMS Consultant and Technical Lead for ISMS Audit. While at Pivot Point Security, Feather developed guidance for conducting audits, conducted internal audits, designed and implemented an ISMS, and developed process documentation. Feather also acted as Manager of Internal Audit for CoreSite before becoming the Owner/Principal of FCB Consulting Ltd. which provided consulting services for compliance related reviews including SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
Feather holds a B.B.A in Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma.
Garrison is responsible for implementation of industry best practices and construction coordination along with organizing and managing procurement.
He has seven years of experience in the data center and technology industries. Previous to EdgeCore, Garrison acted as Construction Project Manager for CoreSite, where he was responsible for designing and implementing multiple projects that varied from infrastructure additions to new computer rooms and ground-up developments.
Garrison holds a B.S. in Construction Management from East Carolina University.
Jeremy manages EdgeCore’s partner and enterprise sales activities, working collaboratively with advisors and end users to build data center solutions.
Jeremy brings significant experience in the data center industry to EdgeCore. Prior to joining EdgeCore, he helped build CBRE’s Data Center Solutions, Advisory & Transaction Services platform. At CBRE, Jeremy held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently leading organizational growth initiatives as Business Development Manager. During his tenure, the DCS organization completed data center transactions in excess of $5.7 billion. Jeremy participated in the CBRE Data Center Solutions Executive Committee and is a Board Member of the Rocky Mountain AFCOM Chapter.
Jeremy holds a B.S.B.A. in Corporate Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University’s College of Business.
Schuyler is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of systems and networks within EdgeCore’s data centers and corporate offices, ensuring information security and compliance best practices are followed.
Schuyler brings significant IT experience in the data center industry to EdgeCore. He held several roles of increasing responsibility at CoreSite previous to joining EdgeCore, starting with Systems Administrator and moving onto Senior Systems Administrator, Senior Systems Engineer, Manager of Systems and Help Desk, and most recently as the Senior Manager of IT Operations. While at CoreSite, Schuyler led two teams that supported internal corporate operations and infrastructure, specifically around Systems and Help Desk.
Schuyler holds a B.A. in Business Administration, with a focus on Information Systems, from Colorado State University.
