EdgeCore’s veteran executive team has 55+ years of data center development and management experience, plus a development resume exceeding $10.0 billion.
Tom is a co-founder of the Company and is based in our Denver office. Tom brings to EdgeCore experience in institutional real estate exceeding $10 billion in value, including over $5.0 billion in the data center industry.
Before co-founding EdgeCore, Tom served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of CoreSite Realty Corporation (NYSE: COR). Tom was a founder of CoreSite and led the company's strategy and growth from its inception in 2001, through its IPO in 2010, and until his retirement from the company in 2016. Under his leadership, as a public company CoreSite delivered the highest total shareholder return among all US public REITs, increasing the Company’s equity market capitalization from $730 million at its IPO in 2010 to over $4 billion when Tom announced his retirement in July, 2016. During that period, CoreSite earned shareholders a 580% total return, correlating to a 30.5% compounded annual return.
Prior to and contemporaneously with his tenure at CoreSite until its 2010 IPO, Tom was a member of the US Realty Team at The Carlyle Group, where he was a Managing Director responsible for sourcing and managing investments in North America. In that role, Tom executed on investments across data center, industrial, CBD office, hotel, for-sale residential condominium, multi-family, and mixed-use property types. Prior to Carlyle, Tom held roles of increasing responsibility with Security Capital Group and its affiliates (Prologis, CarrAmerica, and predecessors to Archstone-Smith), where he held roles of increasing responsibility in the US and Europe across acquisitions, development and leasing and across industrial, multi-family, office, and executive-suites property types and businesses. Also during his tenure with Security Capital affiliates, Tom was a founding member of Prologis' European operations, helping lead and scale the organization from start up to ~ $1.0 billion in assets in less than 24 months. Prior to Security Capital, Tom was an attorney practicing real estate, tax and commercial law.
Tom holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Denver where he was a Hornbeck Scholar, a JD from The University of Colorado School of Law, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a Longhorn Scholar.
Jeff is a co-founder of the Company and is based in our Denver office. He is responsible for EdgeCore’s financial reporting, strategic planning, capital markets, administration, information technology and risk management.
Jeff brings to EdgeCore a deep background in finance, reporting, and operational systems and process. Before co-founding EdgeCore, Jeff worked in roles of increasing responsibility at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President and Group Head of both a) Financial Planning and Analysis and b) Corporate Operations, with oversight of IT, software development, business intelligence, and continuous improvement. At CoreSite, Jeff led the financial planning function supporting the company’s 2010 initial public offering on the NYSE with a $730 million equity market capitalization, $144 million in annualized revenue, and 600+ clients. Following CoreSite’s IPO, Jeff led the company’s activities in scaling internal corporate systems, staff and process to support growth to a $4.4 billion equity market capitalization, $460 million in revenue, and 1,100+ clients. During his tenure, Jeff also led the company’s selection and successful implementation of a new end-to-end ERP system supporting client-facing and internal operations. Jeff was a member of CoreSite’s Senior Leadership Team and Investment Committee. Prior to CoreSite, Jeff held roles of increasing responsibility in the Investment Banking Group at Wachovia / Wells Fargo Financial Institutions Group.
Jeff holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University where he graduated magna cum laude.
Therese is based in the company’s Denver office and manages EdgeCore’s data center operations and security teams. She is also responsible for client-lifecycle activities and co-leads EdgeCore’s European expansion team in site selection, sourcing, and project management.
Therese brings significant experience leading client-support teams and designing and implementing end-to-end service-delivery systems and processes. Therese joined EdgeCore following roles of progressive accountability at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President supporting and leading the company’s activities around client-lifecycle management for more than 1,200 clients and $500M+ in annualized revenue. In the role, her responsibilities included a) on-boarding and capacity deployment, b) on-going support via self-service systems (portal management) and a team of Strategic Account Service Representatives, c) capacity and contract management, d) service-processes design and improvement, and e) incident engagement, remediation, and avoidance. Prior to CoreSite, Therese was a Dean’s Research Fellow at the University of Colorado School of Law, where she authored and collaborated on works related to cybersecurity, telecommunications, and technology.
Therese holds a B.A. in International Business from The University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.
Matt is a co-founder of EdgeCore, leading client engagement and driving excellence in the client experience across land acquisition, development, design and construction activities.
Matt brings to EdgeCore broad experience in data center development, having led projects underwritten to aggregate more than 800 MW and $5.0 billion in investment at stabilization. Prior to co-founding EdgeCore, Matt held roles of increasing responsibility at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President of Acquisitions. In that role, Matt led all acquisition activities, with a predominant focus upon land and development, including entitlements, feasibility, design, and construction planning, including the coordination of construction and business requirements for build-to-suit activities. In addition to his role in development and acquisitions, Matt served as General Manager of CoreSite’s Central Region, and prior thereto, ran the company’s investment underwriting and diligence activities.
Matt holds a B.S. in Finance from Iowa State University, with honors.
Justin is based in EdgeCore’s Denver office and is responsible for legal oversight of all company operations, including acquisitions, development, leasing and financing, as well as contract management, risk management, compliance and corporate governance.
Justin brings to EdgeCore experience in a broad range of sophisticated corporate and transactional matters, serving as outside counsel in the completion of over $3.0 billion in strategic private equity investments and joint ventures, LBOs, M&A, and venture capital and growth equity investments. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Justin was an Associate in the Finance & Acquisitions group at Davis Graham & Stubbs in Denver and, prior thereto, an Associate in the Corporate Department at Paul Hastings in Chicago. During his tenure in private practice, Justin worked across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on real estate acquisition, development, and investment, and represented operating companies and private equity firms in completing investments from or transactions involving global investors, including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, high net worth individuals, and family offices from the US, Canada, Europe and Asia.
Justin earned a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, where he was Executive Comments Editor of the University of Michigan Journal of Private Equity & Venture Capital Law, and a B.A., with distinction, from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Tom leads EdgeCore’s strategy, teams, and activities around client leasing and marketing initiatives focused on bespoke client-centric growth solutions for top hyperscale and technology companies globally.
Tom brings to EdgeCore 17 years of experience in wholesale data centers, enabling him with valuable insight into client needs for tailored data center developments and tailored commercial models designed to enable EdgeCore clients to ensure scalability, reduce cost, and maximize flexibility. Supporting these objectives, Tom leverages his experience in site selection, acquisition, development, and leasing supporting hyperscale CSPs and information-intensive businesses, including completion of transactions totaling over 500 MW and valued at over $1.4B. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Tom worked for Amazon Web Services, where he was accountable for strategy and execution for new and existing regions across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, along with diligence and strategy for additional regions under evaluation. At AWS, Tom worked in a multi-stakeholder environment executing on accountabilities to scale data center infrastructure planned to exceed $1B in construction investment. Prior to Amazon, Tom was co-practice leader of Cassidy Turley’s (now Cushman & Wakefield’s) Data Center Advisory Practice, focused on end-user representation and capital markets transactions. Tom previously worked with many members of the EdgeCore team at CoreSite Realty Corporation as regional VP of Sales.
Tom holds a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard College, with honors.
Julie leads fundraising efforts in equity and debt capital markets, and is responsible for the underwriting of business plans, as well as building financial reporting for senior management and investors.
Julie brings extensive finance and general management experience specific to the data center industry. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Julie managed CoreSite’s Denver and Los Angeles markets as the Vice President of General Management. There, Julie gained experience in investment underwriting, strategic planning, P&L management, lease negotiations, and the development and entitlement processes. She has also held positions in management development and finance, working on M&A due diligence, data center financial modeling, and investor reporting.
Julie holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.
Wylie leads EdgeCore’s execution around land acquisitions, including sourcing and leading execution on EdgeCore’s largest land investments in the Bay Area and Northern Virginia. Additionally, Wylie leads the Company’s strategic planning and execution around connectivity, interconnection, power, sustainability, and on-site client products and services. Wylie brings extensive experience across a broad range of investing in, operating, and monetizing over $5.0 billion in Internet infrastructure across the US and Europe.
Prior to joining EdgeCore, Wylie worked as VP of Wireless & Testing at CableLabs’ Kyrio subsidiary, leading sales, products and services, strategy, and operations for several lines of business. In this role he helped assess, benchmark, and test cloud-based and network-enabled technologies including SDN, network function virtualization, DOCSIS, and advanced wireless solutions for some of the largest communications service providers in North America, Europe, LATAM, and Australia. Prior to Kyrio, Wylie held positions of increasing responsibility at Zayo Group, including Director of Strategic Markets & Alliances with a focus on the cloud & data center verticals, Small Cell Product Lead, Metro Dark Fiber Lead, and various management positions as a member of Zayo’s management development program. During his tenure, Wylie participated in various stages of more than 20 Zayo acquisitions of data center and fiber assets, including AboveNet (US & UK), Neo (France), ViaTel (Ireland), and AllStream (Canada). Prior to graduate school, Wylie was an application and sales engineer for Johnson Controls, where he executed in HVAC design and construction on large projects including a sports stadium, embassy, courthouse, and university campus.
Wylie holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University where he graduated with honors, an M.B.A from the University of Colorado where he graduated with honors, and a J.D. from the University of Colorado.
Brian is based in the Company’s Denver office and is responsible for all areas of accounting including the Company’s financial statements, cost accounting, client billing and accounts receivable, accounts payable, and tax compliance.
Brian brings notable experience in accounting and finance relevant to the data center industry and technology space. Prior to EdgeCore, Brian held roles of increasing accountability at CoreSite Realty Corporation, most recently as Vice President of Financial Reporting. During his tenure, Brian managed all accounting and SEC aspects of CoreSite’s initial public offering and was responsible for SEC reporting, technical accounting, corporate and property accounting as well as the implementation of accounting IT systems. Prior to CoreSite, Brian worked for Ernst & Young in their audit and assurance services practice serving clients in the real estate and hospitality industry and served as the audit lead for the DuPont Fabros Technology initial public offering.
Brian holds a B.A. in Accounting from Michigan State University where he graduated with honors and a M.S. in Accounting from Michigan State University.
Kyle oversees corporate IT systems and the operational data center IT infrastructure, including systems architecture and integrations, information security, data governance programs, and business intelligence.
Kyle brings to EdgeCore a deep background in data center IT infrastructure and IT management. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Kyle held several positions at CoreSite, rising from an entry level position to Director in four years. Most recently, Kyle held the position of Senior Director of Business Intelligence and Solution Architecture. This included managing teams owning the business intelligence program, data architecture, migrations, and warehousing. Additionally, Kyle was responsible for architecting and implementing a complete systems replacement.
Kyle holds a B.S. in Computer Science with an emphasis on Information Systems and Systems Administration from Dordt College where he graduated with honors.
As Senior Project Manager for EdgeCore's Eastern Region, Steven is responsible for all aspects relating to exceeding client expectations around design and construction. Steven is committed to driving excellence in the client experience throughout the design-and-construction process, including i) ensuring that the design of each project reflects client requirements, ii) exceeding client expectations with regard to project cost and schedule, iii) collaboratively enabling client input and direction, and iv) ensuring appropriately rapid, concise, and complete communication with and among the client and the team of professionals working to deliver upon each client requirement.
Steven brings over 25 years of experience in construction including over 15 years delivering upon mission-critical and related client requirements for some of the world's largest and most demanding companies. During his career, Steven has held roles of increasing responsibility in the planning, design and construction of over 3.7 million square feet of data center capacity worth over $1.6 billion across the United States and South America. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Steven held roles of progressive accountability as a Senior Construction Manager and as a manager in pre-construction and operations at leading construction-services providers including AT-PD, Balfour Beatty Construction, HITT Contracting, and Holder Construction Company. Steven's work prior to EdgeCore included delivering on client requirements for multiple leading US data center developers and operators, a leading global social media company, bulge-bracket financial services companies, and leading telecommunications companies.
Steven studied Construction Management at Florida International University and obtained his General Contractor's license in the state of Florida.
Garrison is responsible for coordination among and between field-level project managers and centralized team members, implementation of industry best practices, and leading EdgeCore’s procurement program.
Garrison brings to EdgeCore over 13 years of experience in design and construction throughout North America, delivering projects from inception through commissioning across multiple asset classes including data centers and technology-related projects as well as office and industrial buildings and campuses. Garrison's experience leading complex development and construction projects includes data center projects exceeding a total of 200 MW. Prior to EdgeCore, Garrison was a Construction Project Manager at CoreSite Realty Corporation, leading data center development, design and construction across Boston, Chicago, Denver, Santa Clara and Virginia. Prior to CoreSite, Garrison held roles of increasing responsibility at general contracting firms including Mortenson Construction and HITT Contracting.
Garrison holds a B.S. in Construction Management from East Carolina University.
Feather brings notable experience in the design and execution of business processes and establishment and monitoring of internal audit and compliance functions. Feather’s career highlights include Sarbanes-Oxley first year implementation and adoption and maintenance of compliance reports such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
Prior to joining EdgeCore, Feather held several positions at Pivot Point Security, including Information Security Management System (ISMS) Consultant and Technical Lead for Audit. While at Pivot Point Security, Feather designed and implemented policies and controls for multiple clients to achieve ISO 27001 and conducted internal audits to assess implemented environments. Further, as Technical Lead, Feather developed guidance for conducting audits and provided review and instruction to fellow consultants. In a prior role, Feather acted as Manager of Internal Audit for CoreSite where she either led or heavily contributed to all aspects of operating an internal audit function at a publicly traded REIT.
Feather holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma.
As Director of HR, Annette is responsible for benefit management, employee on-boarding, payroll supervision, policy development, and supply acquisition. In her role as Director of Administration, she is responsible for day-to-day operations in the corporate headquarters and coordinates directly with the CEO.
Annette brings to EdgeCore extensive managerial and organizational experience. Prior to joining EdgeCore, Annette acted as Executive Assistant to the CEO, supporting CoreSite’s then CEO, Tom Ray, and additional CoreSite executives for 12 years. Annette had direct correspondence with board members, investors, as well as potential and existing clients, giving her insight on corporate management and the data center industry as a whole.
Daryl is responsible for the client experience in build-to-suit activities, beginning with lease negotiation and extending through project closeout and commencement. In this role, Daryl provides continuity and domain expertise in coordinating project-team dynamics in design and construction within the context of the client lease and other project agreements.
Daryl brings more than 25 years of experience in data center systems implementations, complex litigation consulting, accounting investigations, and business consulting. Before joining EdgeCore, Daryl spent 5 years at CoreSite Realty Corporation and managed systems implementations exceeding $7M in capital. Prior to joining CoreSite, Daryl served as Associate Director at Navigant Consulting and Tucker Alan, Inc.
Daryl received a B.S. in Economics, with a focus on Finance & Multinational Management, cum laude, from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Daryl is a Certified Management Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner.
Jeremy manages EdgeCore’s partner and enterprise leasing activities, working collaboratively with advisors and end users to create data center solutions.
Prior to joining EdgeCore, Jeremy helped build CBRE’s Data Center Solutions, Advisory & Transaction Services platform. At CBRE, Jeremy held roles of increasing responsibility, most recently leading organizational growth initiatives as Business Development Manager. During his tenure, the Data Center Solutions organization completed data center transactions in excess of $5.7 billion. Jeremy participated in the CBRE Data Center Solutions Executive Committee and is a Board Member of the Rocky Mountain AFCOM Chapter.
Jeremy holds a B.S.B.A. in Corporate Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University’s College of Business.
As the Director of EdgeCore’s Client Lifecycle, Harrison is responsible for onboarding, space buildout, ongoing support, and incident management.
Prior to joining EdgeCore, Harrison held increasing roles of responsibility at CoreSite Realty Corporation where he started as a Facilities Technician supporting critical data center operations and maintenance at the One Wilshire campus. Harrison then joined the Client Services team as a Project Manager and executed client deployments and support operations for the Los Angeles market. After distinguishing himself as a dedicated client advocate, Harrison was promoted to Senior Project Manager and was responsible for managing day-to-day service, build outs, and incident management for a key strategic client. Additionally, before joining CoreSite, Harrison spent six years in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate.
Harrison graduated cum laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Technical Management.
Schuyler is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of systems and networks within EdgeCore’s data centers and corporate offices, ensuring information security and compliance best practices are followed.
Schuyler brings significant IT experience in the data center industry to EdgeCore. He held several roles of increasing responsibility at CoreSite previous to joining EdgeCore, starting with Systems Administrator and moving onto Senior Systems Administrator, Senior Systems Engineer, Manager of Systems and Help Desk, and most recently as the Senior Manager of IT Operations. While at CoreSite, Schuyler led two teams that supported internal corporate operations and infrastructure, specifically around Systems and Help Desk.
Schuyler holds a B.A. in Business Administration, with a focus on Information Systems, from Colorado State University.
